Multi-Camera Field Shoots with the Anycast System

Learn how to use the Sony Anycast System to shoot multi-camera coverage of an event on-location.  This hands-on workshop will include an overview of the Sony PD-170 camera and Sony Anycast System, set-up of equipment, crew communications and troubleshooting tips. Instruction will be two-fold, 1) technical considerations for video and audio set-ups and situations found on-location 2) the operational responsibilities of the director, from basic cues and commands to camera operators, and common techniques in live-edit switching. In the last session of the workshop, students will execute a practice shoot where they will set-up all the equipment, cover a practice event, and then properly pack everything up.

This is a very technical workshop, users should be knowledgeable on the basic aspects of audio and video cabling and troubleshooting. Successful completion of this course will certify you to checkout CMCM’s Sony Anycast System for 48-72 hours at a time per event.  You must attend all three sessions to become certified.
